Your timing couldn't be better. I'm taking this with me on my business trip at the end of this month! Yay! A fun fic to read! I'm more excited than I can ever express. :D

Have been waiting with baited breath for the complete story!!! Can't read your stories until you've finished them, I enjoy them too damn much to be left waiting ;0)

Thank you! I really hope you enjoy this one. There's a lot of 'me' in it. :) If you have a moment when you finish, I'd love to know what you thought.

Yay it's done :) I'm part glad & anxious to read chapter 5 already but the other part is saddened because this is your last multi-chapter for a while.. & I love your multi-chapters. With other writers I'll go for the shorter fics but with you - the longer = the better ;)

However I know it's time for you to move on - and I wish you the best of luck with your original story. *hugs* & I'll enjoy whatever little Sam&Dean fic your muse inspires you to write along the way.

p.s.: Terry's art adds so much to the read, mmm those boys - wish I could fast forward to April 15 already when they return :)

Thank you so much, my friend. I won't be going far, never fear. One shots there will be. And I do look forward to writing more multi-chapter fics in the future, should the muse strike. :) PLUS! That will mean I have a draft of Gone done. *grins*

Terry does amazing work; I am so fortunate to have met her for so many different reasons. I'll tell her you liked the art.

And I agree! April 15th needs to get here. :)

Oh lovely to find this finished, I'm so behind with reading, have downloaded the PDF, don't usually read fic that way, but thought I'd give it a try and artwork looks so lovely I can see why you'd want to make something that included it and kept it all together. I can see you've left the artist name and journal link above, so I'm going to go over there and praise that before I start reading and forget!

Thanks.

Terry said you stopped by on her journal -- thanks so much for doing that! She works hard on building these posters and I LOVE them. :)

Thank you for letting me know you downloaded the PDF. If you enjoy reading it that way, let me know; I may upload other longer fics in the same manner.

I hope you are entertained by the story. Thanks so much for your time!

The pdf is great. Because I was reading as you posted, I really didn't realize how long a story this is -- I was so surprised to see it's 247 pages. I'm looking forward to reading it again as a complete novel. Nice artwork, too!

I was surprised myself! Of course, five of those pages are for the art, but it was still surprising. This one was about 96K words which makes me wonder how many pages some of my longer stories -- like Desolation Angels at 130K and Wearing and Tearing at 120K -- would be.

Thank you for letting me know you're looking forward to reading it as a 'novel' -- I'll let Terry know you enjoyed the artwork. Thanks again!

Awesome!

I haven't had a chance to read the final chapter yet, so dl'd the pdf and I'm gonna devour it this weekend! :D

I love this fic to piece and Terry's art just finishes it off beautifully.

Oh, that's good to know! I haven't done this before, so I wasn't sure what the best thing to use would be.

I may do this with some of my other fics, too.

Thanks so much! :)

I loved this story! I couldn't figure out where you were going, and I had no idea who was causing all the issues...until about half a chapter ahead of it happening. I read a lot, so I'm usually pretty good at seeing it from the start.

I'm going to save the PDF, so I can read it again. Thank you so much for the file and for writing such a wonderful casefic with so much h/c for both Winchesters!

Thanks so much for this feedback! I love that you were stumped a bit -- I didn't want it to be one of those 'out of left field' type things, but also was working to dim the neon light giving it all away. ;)

Thank you for reading and taking time to share your thoughts. I'm glad you downloaded the PDF.

My best to you,

I'm downloading the PDF, so I can read it while I'm stuck at school between classes since it's about the only way for me to get around to reading longer fanfic now.

I can think of no better way to spend down-time between classes. :) Thanks for letting me know! I may try to do that with other fics.

This story was amazing! You had me hooked from the beginning, and I read the entire thing in one day. I love how well developed your OCs are and how well they fit into the story without them taking the focus off of Dean and Sam.

I absolutely love your stories and this one surely did not disappoint. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and double thanks for the PDF version. I don't suppose you could add any other multi-chaps as PDFs? Just a thought....

Hi Dee --

Thank you so much for reading and taking time to let me know! I really appreciate it.

I had been thinking of doing PDFs of other multi-chapter stories; this was kind of an experiment of sorts. So, since it seems like most people like it, I'll give it a go here in a bit. Stay tuned! :)

Best to you,

Ah, finally!
I didn't have time to get to it earlier - nothing bad, just everyday madness.
So, first chapter is done, and I freaking LOVE it. I wish I could say more now, except that I like Colin, for some reason.

I don't know if you're open to a ... suggestion, concerning the prologue? If you are, tell me. If not, I'll keep my trap shut *g*
What I really love is the feeling of desolation and despair in Sam and also in Dean, and DAMN I love how you wrote the Nightshifter-ending into this. It makes sense to do it like this, it's really damn good.

...

Wow... ok, now that I finished it, my sympathy for Colin got a bit strained. I still feel for him - a terrible, horrible way to die - but... yeah.

Cooper though... he's a great OC. I like his character, the struggle he faced and how he still overcame his doubts and helped those two. Then again, how did the diner-owner put it: Who could deny them anything *g*

I hope he finds the faith he lost, and I sure hope his son is still alive and not suffering anything bad. Maybe someone just abducted him and raised him as his own? *hopes*

Your writing was gripping, and I swear I was cold all over when I read the part about Dean in the water and after. *shudder*
Poor boys...

So, well, I read this yesterday night, and I didn't manage to comment then. I think I forgot some stuff I wanted to say, so just take with you the fact that I truly loved this, all of it. The case, the struggle, the OCs and of course our heroes.

I wonder... do you think there is a story out there that has a ghost who died because of another ghost? I mean, all those deaths by supernatural creatures, and I never once read a story about a ghost-induced ghost. Huh...

Anyway. Thank you for writing this and for making the time between the episodes a bit shorter. See ya!

Hi there!

Thank you SO much for reading and coming by to let me know! :) It's so great to hear from you.

I don't know if you're open to a ... suggestion, concerning the prologue? If you are, tell me. If not, I'll keep my trap shut *g*

Well, you've got me curious. I won't change anything about the story at this stage (unless I find a glaring typo/spelling error and go in to fix it), but I'd like to know what your suggestion is. Could you PM me with it? I'm always open to differing thoughts.

Thank you for calling out what you enjoyed with this story. I really wanted this one to be entertaining (not that I don't want them ALL to be entertaining, lol!) because I wouldn't be crafting multi-chapter stories for awhile. I wanted you to remember this one. :)

do you think there is a story out there that has a ghost who died because of another ghost?

Oh, now THAT is intriguing!! I like it! Are you going to write a fic about it? 'Cause I can certainly see one forming in my head. :)

Thanks so much again. Always a pleasure to see you.

Iz as happy as Dean! ;) I just downloaded the complete story. FABULOUS IDEA! I've often wondered what might happen to the stories I love so much if LJ or FF went away. Perish the thought.

I think you probably know which one I want to have safely stored on my computer (and back-up drive!). That's right - "Ramble On". I think you always have a special love affair with your first. ;)

So yes, that is a vote for converting more of your stories to PDF. And if Terry is in the mood, perhaps some wonderful art to accompany them.

Love you girls!

I forwarded your comment to Terry to see if she'd be up for art from an older story -- she said my wish was her command. *mwwahh-haa-haaaaa!* (*ahem* that was an evil laugh)

So, once I get caught up, I'll coordinate with her and upload some more PDFs. I promise to make Ramble On a part of the group. :)

Thank you for your input; YOUR wish is my command. :)

Have a great day!

Finished! Wow, what a rush! Another fabulous, amazing, heartwrenching story.

Also, Terry's beautiful artwork is absolutely perfect.

I downloaded the PDF - I have a nook now and I like to take the fic with me to work on it. MY employer doesn't allow laptops in the office but with the nook i can finally start to catch up on my reading.

Looking forward to reading this story.
Thanks for sharing your work and thanks for offering the fic in pdf form.

Thanks for letting me know you're reading! :) I hope it shows up okay on your nook. I've heard that you have to format things differently in pdf for an eReader and this is just a regular pdf.

I hope you enjoy the story and if you feel like it, I'd love to hear what your thoughts are.

This was a highly captivating plot and a story I didn't want to put down. I liked the strong canon background, the case was intriguing, and Cooper a sympathetic witness to the supernatural forces. Like in the show, you drew parallels between the brothers' situation with the case and what was going on in Cooper's life - I liked that a lot.

The PDF was delightful - I really enjoyed the art!
