Happy Holidays + A Christmas Story: Midnight Clear, PG, Sam, Dean, Bobby

To my all my LiveJournal friends, acquaintances, and those of you who simply nod, smiling, as you scroll by, I wanted to wish you a warm, happy, peaceful, and safe holiday season -- no matter what holiday it is you do (or do not) celebrate during this time of year. I am blessed this year to have my little family with me and -- for once -- healthy!

I'm also blessed to have so many wonderful friends brought into my life by "the little show that could." Were it not for Supernatural, my life would not be as rich, as layered, as eventful as it is and has been over the last 8 years. Those of you who I know on a personal level I thank you for your accepting me and allowing me to be part of your story. Those of you who share your thoughts with me in this 'virtual' world, I am grateful for the time we spend together, virtually.

If I had the time, I would have written a Christmas gift for you, but (as some of you probably realized) I'm still working on replying to comments from the latest Ramble. So, instead I posted a link to a story I wrote awhile ago for a different Christmas, and offer you some nostalgia.

Set in Season 3, Midnight Clear was written in December 2007 (prior to the airing of "A Very Supernatural Christmas") when I was still part of the Supernatural Virtual Seasons team. If you read it before on that site, or when I posted it on back in December 2008, I sincerely appreciate it and thank you.

In 2007, each member of the Virtual Season team was asked to contribute a story for a Christmas gift, but the rules did not specify that the stories had to take place in the VS 'verse. At the time, Season 3 had me in its grip, and I chose to write a story that helped me work through the brother's struggle to breathe around Dean's Deal. You need know nothing about the Virtual Seasons or its storyline to enjoy this story.

Thank you so much for the gift of your time -- offering reviews and comments and/or simply reading -- and know that if I have not yet replied to a comment you've offered me, I will be doing so during the holiday down time. I have a couple of stories banging around in my head that I very much want to write and share with you, but my conscience won't let me until I've covered those bases. *smile*

I wish you all a very Happy Holidays and I cannot wait to see you in the New Year!

Siochan leat!

...and because I'm too wordy for LJ, I have to post the story separately. Enjoy!

Title: Midnight Clear
Fandom: Supernatural
Author: gaelicspirit
Characters: Dean, Sam, Bobby - GEN
Disclaimer: They're not mine. More's the pity.

Summary: Season 3, written prior to the airing of A Very Supernatural Christmas. So, basically, it's a prior Christmas AU. When Dean and Sam encounter a coma-inducing witch it could be the answer to Sam's prayers...or the death of his brother this lonely yuletide season. Just who or what is Boz, and can she fix the unfixable?
