Sooooo...I've been in a mood lately. An unspecified mood -- not incredibly good or bad just...ermph. Y'know? It's part Real Life, part fandom/Show, part too-much-in-my-own-head...ness.
I couldn't sleep last night. I started clicking through my friend page. I've recently branched out into different communities in addition to Supernatural (I know, right?!), such as Spartacus: Blood and Sand (hush, it was a short-lived guilty pleasure that I could share with the hubs) and White Collar (and if you aren't a fan of that show, why not?? Seriously, there could be fanfic from this one *points to self*).
ANYWAY, through all of this clicking I found myself deep in uncharted territory of the journals of strangers that I found both terrifying and hilariously entertaining. I stole a music meme from one -- and for the life of me I couldn't tell you who it was or where I found them. I just thought this was wonderful, especially for someone as addicted to music as I am. So, to break me from my mood and to dig a bit into your psyche's, I give you the Mood Music Meme.
Put your music on shuffle. Post the first lines of the first 20 songs as a poem.
My poem is under the cut. Bonus points if you guess the songs.
I cheated a bit because movie soundtracks don't have words (although they do have poetry).
They tell you where you need to go
So maybe I'm the one who needed saving
Please don't let this turn into something it's not
Nevermind the face that you put on in front of me
I've got this feeling that there's something that I missed
Once divided, nothing left to subtract
Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding
Send my regards to a brother of mine
We chase misprinted lies
I rest my head between the bed and sky
Just another touch of your skin makes everything okay
I find a map and draw a straight line
If you just walked away what could I really say
This is the last time that I'm ever gonna come here tonight
I've seen you hanging 'round
All this feels strange and untrue
She sits alone again and tries her best not to pretend
I am the one-winged bird for flying
No matter how many times that you told me you wanted to leave
No warning signs
